Event Description
Why learn about the Internet of Things?
The “Internet of things” (IoT) is the most upcoming and fastest growing technology both in the workplace and outside of it. It’s a concept that has the maximum potential to impact how we live and how we work.
IoT is the concept of connecting any device with an on and off switch to the Internet. This includes everything from cell phones, coffee makers, washing machines, headphones, lamps, wearable devices and almost anything else you can think of. This also applies to components of machines, for example, a jet engine of an airplane or the drill of an oil rig. Experts estimate that the IoT will consist of about 30 billion objects by 2020. It is also estimated that the global market value of IoT will reach $7.1 trillion by 2020.
With the internet becoming more widely available, more devices being created with Wi-Fi capabilities, technology costs going down, and smartphone penetration sky-rocketing, a “perfect ecosystem” for the IoT are being created. IoT, therefore, opens the door to a lot of opportunities and challenges which the coming generation has to grab and tackle.
Our course teaches you how to build IoT products and services in a simple and user-friendly method. We cover the topics from scratch and there are no prerequisites other than the will to learn.
